Meet the photographer
Hey, my name is Kelly McNamara — but you can call me Kelly Mac.
Before I was a photographer, I was a lawyer. Which means two things: I have an eye for detail, and yes, I can keep calm in almost any situation (including when your Labrador decides to chase a squirrel mid-shoot).
But more importantly, I've always had a deep love for animals. I don't just photograph them — I get them. I notice the little signals, I know when they need space, and I know how to bring out their personality without forcing it.
When you work with me, you're not just getting pretty pictures. You're getting an experience where you and your pet feel comfortable, cared for, and completely yourselves — and images that make you smile every time you see them.
Subject-Led Sessions
Every session moves at your pace. There are no forced poses or rigid shot lists — just space for you to be yourself while I follow the light and the moments as they unfold.
Calm Supportive Direction
I'll gently guide you through the session so you never feel unsure of what to do. Most people tell me they forget the camera is there — that's exactly the point.
Connection
The best photographs come from real connection. I invest time before every session getting to know you so that what we create together feels personal, not generic.
Photography found me at a time when I needed it most. A camera in hand became a reason to look closely at the world — to slow down, notice the small things, and find beauty in the ordinary.
That sense of attention is something I bring to every session. I'm not here to manufacture a perfect image. I'm here to find the one that's already there, waiting.
